Technology Integration Specialist, Ford Motor Company
Richard manages Ford’s process of accelerating new technology integration into vehicle production programs. To enable this key process, he also serves as the product owner of Ford’s ‘Technology Integrator’ PPM application (powered by Planisware®). Richard is a certified 6-Sigma Master Black Belt and served as the 6-Sigma Deployment Director for Ford’s Research and Innovation Center from 2006-2017. He also has a principal role in developing and promoting Ford's ‘Design for Six Sigma’ teaching curriculum.
Prior to his process improvement role, Richard’s earlier assignments at Ford include Safety Test engineer and Hydrogen Fuel Cell package engineer, where he was awarded three US patents related to hydrogen fuel cell architecture. He began his engineering career working for The Boeing Company designing wing structure on aircraft such as the B2 Spirit and the YF-22 Raptor.
Richard received a BS in Aerospace Engineering (University of Michigan 1986) and an MBA (Wayne State University 1995). He enjoys woodworking, and he and his wife Christine are proud parents of two Eagle Scouts.
